PnP Dash Cam Harness Options Explained

Mirror USB (2013-2020, 2022+) (North America Only)

Connector located above dome light assembly. If your vehicle is not equipped with a powered rearview mirror, connector will be taped up with foam at the right rear of the dome light cavity. Passthrough design allows harness to be used with or without powered rearview mirror.

Does not support parking mode. Power is supplied only when vehicle is turned on.

Compatible with all US/CA Scion FR-S, Toyota 86, and Subaru BRZs from 2013 to 2020, and all US/CA Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZs from 2022+. Connector is not present on vehicles outside North America. 

Radio Accessory Connector (2013-2020)

Connector located behind radio. Connector will be unused unless you are using a GJP Trac-Box. If so, please add a note at checkout that you need a splitter to allow the Trac-Box and dash cam to be used simultaneously.

Supports parking mode for compatible dash cams.

Compatible with all Scion FR-S, Toyota 86, and Subaru BRZs from 2013 to 2020. Connector is present in all markets.

ASC Connector (2022+)

Connector located at Active Sound Control (fake engine noise) module on passenger side of vehicle. Accessible via removing side panel next to glovebox. Requires unplugging ASC module and losing fake engine noise. If you want to retain your fake engine noise, please add a note at checkout so the harness can be built accordingly.

Supports parking mode for compatible dash cams.

Compatible with all Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZs from 2022+. Connector is present in all markets.

GR86 Accessory Connector (2022+) (US/CA GR86 Only)

Connector located directly behind cigarette lighter, wrapped in pink tape. Connector accessible via removing glovebox.

Supports parking mode for compatible dash cams.

Connector is present only on North American 2022+ GR86s. Not present on BRZs or on vehicles outside North America.

Hardwire Kit Only (Other Vehicles)

Choose this option if you're putting a dash cam in a vehicle other than a FRS/86/BRZ. Basic hardwire kit from the manufacturer of the dash cam you choose with leads for constant power, switched power, and ground.
